Broiled Curried Salmon with Newburg Sauce: Healthy and Scrumptious Recipe

You can have it both ways – Enjoy a scrumptious dish that is luxurious in taste, and yet, so healthy!! What is more, it is simply easy to make! So go ahead.

Ingredients:

*2 lbs. of fresh salmon fillet or salmon steak
(if you are using frozen salmon, be sure to defrost them completely.)
*1/4 teaspoon salt
* dash of pepper
* 1whole finely chopped onion
* 1 Tbsp. curry powder

* 1 Tbsp. Grey Poupon Mustard
* 1 Tbsp. Buckwheat Honey
* Pam or a comparable no calorie cooking spray

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Preparation:

I. Prepare the Newburg sauce.

Get a packet of Knorr Newburg sauce mix and follow the easy directions to make the sauce. Alternatively, order the ready-made Bar Harbor All Natural Newburg Sauce. Once ready, set it aside.

II. Get the oven ready; get the salmon ready for broiling.

1. Preheat oven to broil.
2. Spray your ovenware cooking pan with cooking spray
3. Layer the bottom of the pan with chopped onion
4. Separately mix the mustard and honey until they are fully blended.
5. Dip the salmon into the mustard and honey mixture and store in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
6. Layer the salmon on top of the onions in the pan
7. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the salmon.
8. Sprinkle curry powder over the salmon
9. Cover the salmon with the rest of the chopped onion.
10. Spray the salmon with cooking spray.

III Broil the Salmon

1. Place the pan into the preheated oven (on Broil)
2. Let it cook for 15 minutes; you will see the onions and the top of the salmon
becoming slightly blackened
13. Remove the pan from the oven.
14. Place the cooked salmon on the serving dish and then pour the sauce mixture over it.
