From PCOS to a Miracle: Ashley’s Journey to Healing

I still remember the day Ashley first reached out to me.
She had spent years battling a storm of symptoms that seemed impossible to untangle: severe depression and anxiety, chronic acid reflux, obesity, irregular sleep, constant bloating, and stomach pain. On top of all of that, Ashley had struggled with PCOS complications — including infertility — since she was a teenager.
She later told me, “Over the last 13 years specifically, I had tried multiple approaches to losing weight and regaining my health with little to no success. None of them were maintainable in the long run.”
One day, she stumbled across a reel I posted on social media about gut health — and it resonated deeply. “I realized… I have all of those struggles. And no one has ever connected the dots for me.”
That moment of recognition was the beginning of a profound transformation.
When Your Symptoms Are Speaking, But No One is Listening
The truth is, Ashley’s story isn’t rare.
If you’re dealing with:
- Bloating
- Food intolerances
- Fatigue
- Weight gain around the middle
- Headaches
- PMS or irregular cycles
…it’s likely all connected.
What most women aren’t taught is that gut health and hormone health are inseparable.
When your gut is inflamed, imbalanced, or undernourished, your hormones cannot function the way they’re designed to. You may experience insulin resistance, estrogen dominance, cortisol surges, serotonin depletion — all of which play a role in PCOS, infertility, mood swings, and more.
That’s why, when Ashley came to me, the very first step we took was a functional lab test — not guessing, not just adding more supplements — but testing to uncover what was truly happening in her body.
What we discovered explained so much:
- Imbalanced gut microbiome
- Inflammation
- Poor detoxification pathways
- Blood sugar instability
From there, we built a personalized, step-by-step plan that fit within her very full life as a wife, mom, homesteader, homeschooler, daughter, and sister.
Healing is Possible — and Witnessed by Those Closest to You
Within just a few weeks, Ashley began seeing real change:
- She slept better — no longer waking up exhausted.
- Her digestion improved and her bloating decreased.
- Her energy returned, allowing her to manage her busy household.
- Her anxiety and depression lessened dramatically, and eventually, she was able to safely come off medication (with her doctor’s guidance).
- Her cycles regulated, and her body began to heal deeply from within.
In Ashley’s own words:
“In the last 11 months, not only has my physical and mental health improved, but I am now 25 weeks pregnant with our latest rainbow baby — a healthy baby girl that we never thought we would have the blessing of adding to our family. I am healthier and more active with this pregnancy, able to keep up with our energetic older boys, homesteading, and homeschooling — more than I ever expected was possible for me.”
Ashley’s husband also shared this powerful testimony:
“As my wife worked with Amber to address her health, she slept better, had more energy during the day, experienced less anxiety, was better able to recognize and avoid the triggers for her depression, anxiety, and mood swings, and eventually came off of her medication for those issues, which she had been wanting to do for years. In the year following her time with Amber, she has continued to improve in her health awareness and management to the point that we were blessed with a miracle pregnancy and the birth of our daughter.”
Healing wasn’t just something Ashley felt — it was something her entire family witnessed and celebrated.
“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.” I Samuel 1:27
Your Body Was Designed for Healing
Ashley’s story reminds me why I do what I do.
Because when you address the root cause — when you restore your gut health and balance your hormones — your body can do what God designed it to do: thrive, heal, and even surprise you with miracles.
Ashley closed her story by saying:
“I am completely serious when I say that Amber has saved my life with the depth of her knowledge about the body and its systems, her love of and faith in God, and her willingness to serve and teach about health, working with our bodies to regain and maintain health in the long run.”
If you see yourself in Ashley’s story — if you’re tired of patching symptoms and ready to find real answers — I want you to know: there is hope.
You are not broken. You just need the right support, the right steps, and the right understanding of how your body was designed to heal.
