Majorly Depressed and Suicidal Must Read

You are NOT crazy!

You may have an inflamed brain which makes everything look and feel way worse than it really is.

Having major depression is no fun and you must remember “This too shall pass” – Abraham Lincoln.  Take it moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day, month by month, and never give up.

A study by the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Psychiatry took brain samples from dead depressed and suicidal subjects that died of natural causes or by suicide and observed that their brains had increased levels of proinflammatory cytokines in it’s serum.

Another study by Canadian research team at Douglas Mental Health University Institute studied the cells known as astrocytes in brains from 10 suicides with depression and 10 people with no history of depression who died of other causes. Astrocytes were way larger in the brain white matter of suicide victims. Astrocytes are involved in brain inflammation.

There have been many other studies that show inflammation of the brain is present in the majorly depressed.

Inflammation is well known to be caused by stress and diet, and many doctors also believe inflammation starts in the digestive track. Inflammation is also known to have a major role in many illnesses, including cancer, obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and asthma.
